Tool Mark Database

Tool Mark Database

This section is under construction.'s tool mark database will provide a comparative collection from a wide range of shipbuilding tools using digital methods that can be used for quantifiable and morphometric analysis. Wooden shipbuilding is a primary focus of maritime archaeology so it is surprising that an online tool mark database has not been made available previously. Please do not hesitate to contact the editor if you wish to contribute, but do not contact the editor with requests for data prior to the database going live, as it will not be available.

Please check back in summer 2015.
